Blackboard Guest Account Maker (bbgam)

A simple CLI tool for quickly creating guest accounts in Blackboard.

Important

This is tailored for my specific workflow of how guest accounts are handled. If you use this, you will need to make changes.

Configuration

Credentials are read from environment variables in a .env file in the working directory.

Variable	Description
APP_KEY	Blackboard REST API application key
SECRET	Blackboard REST API application secret
BASE_URL	Base URL of your Blackboard instance
EMAIL_SUFFIX	Domain used to build each account's email address

Usage

Run the executable from your terminal, passing guest IDs as a comma-separated list:

./bbgam.exe -ids="1234,5678,9012"

Arguments

• -ids (Required): Comma-separated list of guest IDs to create.
